Dr. Pukar Chandra Shrestha, Nepal's No. 1 Consultant - Kidney Transplant Surgeon. He was an Executive Director of Human Organ Transplant Center, Govt. of Nepal, Bhaktapur has been honored with Hon. Fellowship by the Association of Surgeons of India, Punjab State Chapter on Saturday, 24th September 2016 in Jalandhar, India.
Despite very limited resources, Dr. Shrestha led Human organ Transplant Center has become the busiest center in Asia in the field of Renal transplantation. Besides, within 4 years of leadership, he has successfully performed more than 800 Kidney & 4 Liver Transplantation with 99% accuracy. His contribution to the govt of Nepal is very memorable to revolution in affordable healthcare.
